Mani had more talent than time: Kamal


Veteran Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Mani played a major role for the first time with Kamal in ‘Papanasam’, the remake of the super hit Malayalam film ‘Drishyam’. Saddened by the news that the veteran actor had passed away yesterday due liver problems, Kamal Haasan tweeted, “Sad about my friend Kalabhavanam Mani. One more of My Malayalee brothers dying of cirrhosis. He had more talent than time.”

It had been said that Kamal Haasan had helped and trained Mani to master of slang of Nellai Tamil for his role as constable Perumal in ‘Papanasam’. Kalabhavan Mani has played some notable characters in some in Tamil films like Gemini, Aaru, Anniyan, Enthiran and the recent Papanasam. He won the Best Villain at the Filmfare Awards for his role in ‘Gemini’.
